Report Window

The two report windows (3, 4) provide an easy-to-read overview of the source and destination folders of the profiles subsequent to a copy preview or copy operation. This toolbar (1) enables various actions to be performed using the report. This toolbar (2) of the report filter enables files and folders that are not needed to be hidden. The report legend (5) can be displayed for interpreting the report as needed and explains the meaning of the various icons appearing before the files and folders.

Copy Preview

When a copy preview is created, the contents of the source and destination folders are conveniently displayed in an easy-to-read manner in the two report windows. The icons in front of a folder or file show you directly which action AllSync will perform on that item.
Edit Copy Preview
The actions shown of files and folders can be modified via the context menu.
Process Copy Preview
Enables all actions of the copy preview to be processed.

Copy Operation (Copying)

After a copy operation, all the actions performed are shown in the two report window panes so you can examine them. This can be deactivated in the General (Options) (cf. Profile Properties).

You can make additional settings for the report window in AllSync's general Options:

Report Filter

The report filter enables you to quickly get a better picture of the files and folders that are not needed on the basis of their icons in the report. To do this, select all the file and folder buttons on the toolbar of the report filter to be shown in the report, followed by initiating filtering.

Start Filtering
Reset Filtering
Select All Buttons
Unselect All Buttons

Report Columns

The report features the following columns:
  • Source or Destination Folder
  • Modified Date (optional)
  • Created Date (optional)
  • File Size (optional)
    • Bytes (BS)
    • Kilobytes (KB)
    • Megabytes (MB)
    • Gigabytes (GB)
    • Automatic
  • Attributes (optional)
    • A - Archive
    • S - System
    • H - Hidden
    • R - Read-only
    • E - Encrypted
    • L - Symbolic link
    • T - Temporary
    • C - Compressed
    • O - Offline
    • I - Indexed
    • P - Sparse

Create Copy Preview of All Profiles in Report
Process Copy Preview
This causes all the actions shown for all profiles to be carried out.
Delete Report
This causes the contents of the two report windows to be deleted and the requisite RAM to be freed up for rendering the report.
Open/Close All Profiles
Open All Subfolders
Open All Folders Containing Actions
Open All Folders Containing Actions (Without Filtering)
Open All Folders Containing Copy Actions
Close All Subfolders
Show/Hide Modified Date Column
Show/Hide Created Date Column
Show/Hide Last Accessed Date Column
Show/Hide File Size Column
  • Show in Bytes
  • Show in Kilobytes (KB)
  • Show in Megabytes (MB)
  • Show in Gigabytes (GB)
Show/Hide Attributes Column
Removes items from the report:

Context Menu

Various actions can be accessed via the context menu of the file and folder report entries:

No Action
Undoes the action performed to the file or folder (keyboard shortcut: 1).

Copy
Sets the file or folder action to 'Copy' (keyboard shortcut: 2). Any identical file on the other side is copied over.

Delete
Sets the file or folder action to 'Delete' (keyboard shortcut: 3). Any identical file on the other side is deleted.

Filter
Sets the file or folder action to 'Filter' (keyboard shortcut: 4).

Create Duplicate
Sets the file action to Create duplicate (keyboard shortcut: 5). A copy is made, recognizable by the *.COPY extension. For more information, see Synchronization Conflicts.

No Action – All Files in This Folder
Undoes the action to be performed to all the files in this folder (keyboard shortcut: 6).

No Action – All Files and Subfolders
Undoes the action to be performed to all the files and subfolders in this folder (keyboard shortcut: 7).

Copy – All Files in This Folder
Sets the action to be performed to all the files in this folder to 'Copy' (keyboard shortcut: 8).

Copy – All Files and Subfolders
Sets the action to be performed to all the files and subfolders in this folder to 'Copy' (keyboard shortcut: 9).

Add to Filter List
Enables either the name or the entire path of files or folders to be added to the filter list.

Open/Close All Subfolders
Enables all subfolders of a folder to be opened or closed.

Windows Clipboard
Enables the file and folder path to be copied to the Windows Clipboard.

Open
Causes a file or folder to be opened using the application associated with it.

Open Using
Enables you to select an application to open the file.

Properties
Enables the properties of a file or folder to be viewed.

Windows Explorer Context Menu
This causes the Windows Explorer context menu for the selected file or folder to be shown.

Compare
This causes the file to be opened along with the file on the other side using a specified program for the purpose of comparing the two files. See Copy Preview options.
